Director David Fincher’s big screen adaptation of the best-selling novel GONE GIRL is one of the most anticipated films of the fall. The film marks the big screen debut of Northeast Ohio Native Carrie Coon. Coon’s performance as Ben Affleck’s sister in the film has been singled out in early reviews and continues an impressive year for this rising star which has included a Tony Award nomination and a starring role in HBO’s “The Leftovers.”
Coon will be at the Capitol Theatre (1390 W. 65th St., Cleveland) to participate in a post-screening Q&A following the 7:00 PM showing on Monday, October 6th.
Originally from Copley, OH, Carrie Coon is a Chicago-based theater, television and film actress. She received a BA in English and Spanish from the University of Mount Union, followed by her MFA in Acting at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Coon was nominated for a Tony Award in the Best Featured Actress category for her Broadway debut as Honey in the transfer of Steppenwolf Theatre's production of "Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?", directed by Pam MacKinnon. Coon is also one of the leads of the acclaimed HBO series “The Leftovers” in which she plays Nora Durst. Coon is married to the Pulitzer Prize winning playwright and Tony Award winning actor Tracy Letts.
Admission to the screening on Monday, October 6th is just $6 due to Cleveland Cinemas ongoing Bargain Monday promotion. Tickets for showings of GONE GIRL on other dates are subject to regular admission rates: $9 for adults, $6 for seniors and children, $6.50 for adults during matinee screenings before 6:00 PM.
