Cleveland Cinemas Makes an Offer You Can't Refuse

[Press release from Cleveland Cinemas.]

THE GODFATHER, popularly viewed as one of the best Hollywood films ever made and ranked #3 on the American Film Institute’s Top 100 list, is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this March. To celebrate this milestone, Cleveland Cinemas is bringing this classic back to the big screen.

THE GODFATHER will be playing at the Capitol Theatre (1390 W. 65th St., Cleveland) and Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill (500 Howe Ave., Cuyahoga Falls) for special one-week only limited engagements beginning March 9th. The Capitol Theatre will be showing the film from a newly re-mastered and fully restored 2K digital cinema print featuring 5.1 sound. Plaza Cinemas at Chapel Hill will present the movie from a traditional 35mm film print as it was originally released.

“The Godfather is filled with memorable moments and is a film worth experiencing again and again,” says Jon Forman, President of Cleveland Cinemas. “We’re happy to be able to allow Cleveland and Akron audiences a chance to revisit this classic on the big screen the way it was meant to be seen.”

In honor of the film’s return to movie theatres, Cleveland Cinemas has partnered with Melt Bar & Grilled to highlight the restaurant’s Godfather-themed sandwich. Beginning March 1st patrons who order “The Godfather Melt” at any Melt location will receive a coupon (while supplies last) valid for $1 off admission to see the film. Patrons coming to see the film starting March 9th will receive a coupon (while supplies last) valid for $1 off the purchase of “The Godfather Melt.”

Regular admission rates apply for this special engagement. Adult tickets are $9 in the evening and $6.50 for matinees before 6:00 PM. Senior tickets are $6. Tickets are on sale now at the theatre box offices and online at clevelandcinemas.com.
