Classic Film Series Begins At Shaker Square Cinemas

For the past two years Cleveland Cinemas’ Capitol Theatre has been featuring a monthly classic film. Starting in March, this popular series will be expanding to Shaker Square Cinemas (13116 Shaker Square, Cleveland).

The series officially launches on Saturday, March 10th with a 50th Anniversary presentation of the Oscar-winner TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD.

A classic film, projected in perfect HD clarity, will play in the historic Shaker Square Cinemas on select Saturdays each month.  Following the film, audiences can enjoy brunch specials at partnering restaurants on Shaker Square.  Partnering restaurants offering discounts include Fire Food and Drink (13220 Shaker Square) and Yours Truly Restaurant (13228 Shaker Square).


The announced films in the Shaker Square Cinemas Saturday Classics series are as follows:

TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD (1962)
Directed by Robert Mulligan
Starring Gregory Peck
Play date: March 10th
Time: 10:00 AM

A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (1951)
Directed by Elia Kazan
Starring Vivien Leigh and Marlon Brando
Play date: April 14th
Time: 10:00 AM

THE SEARCHERS (1956)
Directed by John Ford
Starring John Wayne
Play date: May 12th
Time: 10:00 AM


Tickets to all films in the series are $5. Tickets go on sale 30 days before play date and are available at the Shaker Square Cinemas box office or online at www.clevelandcinemas.com
